Rainbow breathing – a calming strategy

Breathing slowly and deeply can really help our minds. 

Breathing exercises can change the way we think and feel; reducing our stress levels, help with our anxiety and even slow down our heart rate.

They call this breathing intentionally and doing this daily will help you to regulate your emotions and it is a really good go to exercise when you need to slow your thoughts and feelings down in the moment.

Place your finger on the outer rainbow. Slowly breathe in through your nose and then out through your mouth. After each breath, move to the next colour in the rainbow until you have completed it and taken 7 deep breaths.
